Maggie Drake is a painter and jewelry artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana who found her way to the University of Georgia. Curious and gifted in several areas she pursued a love for painting and photography with an emphasis in fashion and design. It was in the basement of her sorority house with a dear friend that her new-found love of jewelry was sparked. The combination of designing, coordinating color, and playing with various mediums of stones, fabrics, and metals allowed her to incorporate different elements and foundations of painting and photography and love of fashion into something 3-D. Since graduating, she has worked behind the scenes for a photography studio in NYC, started her business, Maggie Grace Design,  in the fall of 2009 and recently moved back to Atlanta where she is a full time artist. Maggie’s work can be described as feminine with an edge. What sets Maggie’s jewelry apart from others is her way of playing with one of a kind vintage pieces to create something new and uniquely hand crafted. Beyond her vintage collection, she also has built a fashion forward line and bridal line.
